Adventures of the Origami Bird

The first of these four books on the adventures of the Origami Bird was created for the first Christmas of the artist's granddaughter. The illustrations, ink jet printed on archival paper, are black line drawings accented with brightly colored Japanese patterned origami papers. Each accordion fold book is wrapped in a paper folder with an inset tab and decorated with kimono patterns. The group is held together by a three-sided board sleeve with a cloth tie. The wordless stories include, “Origami Bird,” “Origami Bird Meets Ms. Whistle,” “Origami Bird and the Night Sky” and “Origami Bird Goes Home.”
